What to include
For a bug report, the three things that make it fixable are: which tool you were using, what you did, and what happened instead of what you expected. If a code would not scan, the browser and device you were on plus the settings you had chosen will usually pin it down straight away.
Before you write
A few things come up often enough to answer here:
- Codes made here never expire — they are static, with no redirect behind them.
- Retail EAN and UPC numbers come from GS1. This site draws the bars for a number you already hold.
- Nothing you type is uploaded, so there is no stored history of past codes to recover.
- Every tool is free with no limits — there is nothing to upgrade to.
