CodeCraft is a small, independent set of web tools for creating and reading QR codes and barcodes. It is run by Sahil Kumar and funded by advertising, which is why the tools themselves carry no cost, no account requirement and no watermark.
Why it exists
Making a QR code should take about fifteen seconds. In practice, searching for a generator tends to produce a page that wants an email address, adds a logo you did not ask for, and hands you a code that quietly routes through someone else's redirect service — one that will stop working if you do not keep paying.
The last part is the one that causes real damage. Thousands of printed menus, posters and business cards have been rendered useless because a redirect service was retired or a trial expired. A code printed on paper cannot be updated. It has to work permanently or not at all.
CodeCraft was built around that constraint. Every code it produces is static: your data is encoded directly into the pattern, with nothing in between that could be switched off.
Nothing you type leaves your device
The second decision follows from the first. All six tools run as JavaScript inside your browser. When you generate a code, the encoding, the drawing and the file export all happen on your own machine. There is no upload, no processing queue and no log of what you made.
This matters more than it first appears. People routinely encode Wi-Fi passwords, personal contact details, customer references and unreleased product codes. On a conventional generator, all of that travels to a third-party server. Here it does not travel at all — you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and keep working.
You can verify this yourself. Open any tool, switch off your connection, and carry on generating and downloading. Nothing breaks, because nothing was ever being sent.

02Barcode Generator
Sixteen formats across retail, logistics and legacy systems, with live validation, automatic check digits and full control over bar geometry and text.
03QR Code Scanner
Decodes a code from an image, a pasted screenshot or your camera, and shows the full contents — including a link's real destination — before you open it.
04Bulk Generator
Up to 300 codes at once from a pasted list or CSV, delivered as a ZIP with an index file, or as a printable A4 label sheet.
05UPI QR Generator
Enter a UPI ID and a name, add an amount if you like, and download a payment QR that every UPI app can read.
06Check Digit Calculator
Work out or verify the last digit of an EAN-13, UPC-A, EAN-8, GTIN-14 or SSCC-18 number, with the arithmetic shown step by step.
How the site is funded
CodeCraft carries advertising. That is the entire business model: no subscriptions, no paid tier, no upsell inside the tools, and no selling of data — there is no data to sell, since nothing is collected in the first place. Ads are marked as advertisements and kept out of the working area of each tool, so they never interfere with what you came to do.
What advertising partners do collect is described honestly in the privacy policy, including how to opt out of personalised ads.
Who builds it
The site is built and maintained by Sahil Kumar, working independently. There is no company behind it and no support desk — questions and bug reports go straight to the person who wrote the code, which means replies are sometimes slow but always from someone who can actually fix the problem.
If something is broken, a format is missing, or a code will not scan when it should, please get in touch. Reports from people using the tools in real print workflows have shaped most of what is here.
Honest limitations
- No dynamic codes. Editing a destination after printing requires a redirect server, and running one would undo the privacy guarantee. Point a static code at your own URL if you need that flexibility.
- No scan analytics. For the same reason. Add UTM parameters and read the numbers in your own analytics instead.
- No GS1 numbers. The barcode tool draws the bars for a number you hold. Retail numbers must be licensed from GS1.
- The bulk tool stops at 300. Everything renders in one browser tab, and beyond roughly that point memory becomes the constraint.
- The scanner reads QR codes only. Linear barcodes need a different decoder and are not supported for reading.
